“Take note, that the trial judge has discharged Lim Guan Eng because the DPP informed the judge that the AGC wishes to withdraw the case under s. 254(1) CPC, and not because the judge has found the case to be groundless.
“The judge was not under any obligation to evaluate the weight of the evidence of the witnesses, who have testified so far, before discharging Guan Eng.
“So stop confusing the public that Guan Eng was acquitted because the trial judge feels that the DPP has no evidence against him.”
