Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi reportedly said that claims UMNO will be launching a “Love DAP Campaign” are slanderous.
According to a news portal, said to have re-aligned itself to Zahid’s UMNO, Zahid described the allegation as a dirty tactic of the opposition.
“So I am asking those using this tactic to repent,” he reportedly said.
Well, here I am, asking Zahid, “does UMNO love the DAP or not?”

And if UMNO does not love the DAP, is UMNO merely tolerating the party or “forced to accept it” for the sake of keeping Zahid in power?
Which is it, Zahid?
I read another pro-UMNO posting that claimed, all parties have, at one point or another, partnered with the DAP.
That’s true – Tan Sri Haji Abdul Hadi Awang once aligned himself with the DAP, and so did Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah.
But here’s the thing – when the Tengku partnered with the DAP, he made the alliance clear way ahead of the 1990 general election.
The same goes for Mahathir, who made it clear ahead of the 14th general election that his ‘partnership’ with the DAP was for the sole purpose of bringing down the Kleptocratic UMNO-led government.
PAS too made its alliance with the DAP clear ahead of the 2013 general election.
In other words, all these leaders gave voters ample time to decide, via the ballot box, if they could accept the alliance.
However, Zahid cheated voters.
Not only did he go against the UMNO constitution by ignoring a decision made by the UMNO general assembly, he promised (by uttering Wallahi, Wabillahi, Watallahi) that he would not support Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as Prime Minister and would never work with the DAP.
However, after the general election, he misled all Barisan Nasional Members of Parliament (MPs) and voters alike by lying to the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong that all the MPs supported Anwar as Prime Minister.
Put simply, Zahid cheated both voters and his comrades.
So once again, Zahid, did you do all this because you love the DAP, or is it because you wanted so badly to become the Deputy Prime Minister?
