Then, for the one week after that, many Pakatan Harapan leaders would issue press statement after press statement regarding the DoJ announcement. And then Malaysians would balek kampung. And during Hari Raya, while eating rendang and ketupat, they will discuss the DoJ matter.

Anwar Ibrahim made this same mistake back in 1998 when he made a police report against those who had accused him of sexual misconduct. In fact, Khalid Jafri Bakar Shah wrote a book, 50 Dalil Kenapa Anwar Ibrahim Tidak Boleh Jadi PM, detailing not only his sexual misconduct but many other crimes as well.
Yes, Anwar committed numerous crimes when he was in power. Go ask your boss, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, about the details. Mahathir will have so many stories regarding Anwar it will make your toes curl.
Anyway, Anwar went to meet Mahathir and said he was going to ask the police to look into this and take action. Mahathir told Anwar to just do nothing. Mahathir said he, too, has been accused of countless crimes and if he wanted to react each and every time he would have no time to run the country.
In a way Mahathir admitted that there are a mountain of allegations against him as well and his strategy is to just ignore them and do nothing. Certainly good advice — which he does not want Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak to follow, though.
During a press conference, Mahathir said he advised Anwar to do nothing but the latter ignored this advice and that was why he got into trouble. What Mahathir was saying is: it was Anwar’s stupidity that eventually got him nailed. And if he had followed Mahathir’s advice and did nothing he would not have been sent to jail.
What happened was, after Anwar made that police report the police investigated the matter and discovered that the allegations were, in fact, true. So, instead of taking action on the people who made those allegations, the police took action on Anwar. The police found about ten crimes that Anwar committed but they charged him for only two and he got sent to jail for a total of 15 years.
In your case, Syed, now that the police report has been made, they are required by law to investigate the matter. And if the police summon me, say, to Bangkok, to take my statement, then I will have to go to Bangkok and meet the police. Then I will have to reveal the names of your three ARMADA PPBM Exco members who you spoke to about the planned DoJ announcement of 15th July 2017. And this means those three Exco members are now going to be dragged into this because the police are going to call them in for their statements to be recorded as well.
And if the police discover that you had, indeed, discussed this DoJ announcement of 15th July 2017 with these three Exco members, then that tantamount to a conspiracy. A conspiracy is when two or more people act in concert to commit a crime. And a conspiracy to smear the country and/or the Prime Minister with intent to erode public and foreign confidence in the nation and ruin the country’s economy tantamount to economic sabotage.
In short, that would be a treasonous act where you are your fellow conspirators can be charged under the crime of waging war against the Agong, a crime that carries the death penalty upon conviction.
