Pasir Salak Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman has caused yet another uproar in the Lower House of Parliament this morning after getting into a quarrel with deputy speaker Nga Kor Ming.

Following an altercation, Nga told Tajuddin to leave the Dewan Rakyat and said if the latter was a man with dignity, he would obey the instruction.

To this, Tajuddin replied, “You face is like a communist!”

KUALA LUMPUR: Pasir Salak Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman has caused yet another uproar in the Lower House of Parliament this morning.

After less than a year of getting into a quarrel with deputy speaker Nga Kor Ming, Tajuddin entered into another verbal spat with the Teluk Intan lawmaker.

The altercation started when Deputy Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Sim Tze Tzin answered Tajuddin’s question on the status of the Cash Crop Programme carried out by farmers as a measure to increase their income.

Tajuddin was unhappy with Sim answering the question and demanded the minister Datuk Salahuddin Ayub to respond instead.

However Nga told Tajuddin to continue with his questions if he had one, or sit down if he was done.

“Pasir Salak, this is an irresponsible attitude. You are insulting the House and this is a bad example.

“Now, enough. I gave you enough time to ask your questions so now, stop wasting the House’s time,” Nga said in the Dewan Rakyat, here, today.

Visibily irritated, Tajuddin trained his guns on Nga, labelling the latter as “a useless DAP speaker”.

As a result, Nga told the Sergeant-at-Arms (Bentara) to perform his duty by escorting Tajuddin out of the House.

“I am using the Standing Order 44 (2) where Pasir Salak will have to leave the House for two days,” Nga said.

Another attempt by Tajuddin to argue with Nga backfired as the deputy speaker later told the Pasir Salak MP that he would now be booted out for four days instead.

Arau lawmaker Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim tried to defend Tajuddin but was told off by Nga.

Both Shahidan and Tajuddin’s microphones were then silenced by the deputy speaker.

Nga repeated his instructions for the Sergeant-at-Arms to perform his duty three times as Tajuddin continued to stand his ground and refused to leave.

“But deputy speaker, last time when Gelang Patah MP (DAP Adviser Lim Kit Siang) was told to leave the Dewan Rakyat, he refused too,” Shahidan said.

Opposition leader, Bera MP Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri later asked Nga to be consistent with his decision.

In response, Nga said he was being consistent with his decision to boot Tajuddin out, saying that he had given the latter three chances.

Nga then told Tajuddin to leave the Dewan Rakyat again and said if the latter was a man with dignity, he would obey the instruction.

“So easy for you to say people have no dignity, huh? Do you have dignity? Come on man. What do you want?

“You face is like a communist!” Tajuddin shouted as other voices were heard telling him to leave the House.

It is unclear if the “communist” remark was directed at Nga or other lawmakers.

In the end, Nga told Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik to answer the next question which was posed by Segamat MP Datuk Seri Dr Edmund Santhara and to ignore Tajuddin’s remarks.

Not long after that, Tajuddin was seen leaving the Dewan Rakyat.
