Umno will collaborate with Pas, but not Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM), in the 15th general election (GE15), said Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman.
The Umno Election director said the stance is in line with the party’s cooperation with Pas since 2018, and after the Muafakat Nasional (MN) consensus was signed in 2019.
Tajuddin was commenting on reports that Mohd Amar had said Pas, Bersatu and Barisan Nasional (BN) could not face the GE15 alone, and they must work together through Perikatan Nasional (PN).
Tajuddin added that he hopes Pas leaders would keep their promise so that the work to face the GE15 goes smoothly, and believes that the cooperation between them would result in a great victory.

Tajudin said based on the consensus, the two parties will cooperate and avoid seat clashes in the GE15.
“He (Pas vice-president, Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah) wants to work with Bersatu, but it is all up to him. Umno will not work with that party (Bersatu) in the upcoming election.
“Based on a survey, more than 140, or two-thirds, of Umno division heads across the country also stated the same stance.
“We listen to the grassroots. Why should we listen to Amar? But we respect his stance,” he told reporters after opening the Pasir Salak Umno division meeting at Dewan Besar Pekan Baru, Chenderong Balai here, today.
