Tony, if you can’t handle the heat, buzz off.

TTF: Pua, a very short message to you from us here at The Third Force:

“If you can’t handle the heat and feel burdened contributing, butt out – there are many others who are willing to serve in the spirit of truth and justice. Come to think of it, a lying weasel like you isn’t even fit to represent any constituency, forget Petaling Jaya Utara or what have you.”

SELAYANG, April 27 ― The Petaling Jaya Utara constituency doubled in size to 165,000 voters after it was renamed Damansara and is now difficult for a single lawmaker to serve, said incumbent MP Tony Pua.

He said the change also made it a challenge to canvass for votes in the seat for the general election, which has just 11 officials days of campaigning.

“The rise in voters made Damansara Parliament as the second biggest parliament in Malaysia it’s difficult for us to reach every voter in this area.

“Compared to Sungai Buloh parliament, the total voters has dropped from 120,000 to 80,000 after the redealination,” he said at the launching of Damansara election operations centre in Selayang Jaya today.

While he only needed to maintain a single service centre in Damansara Utama before, Pua said he needed another in Selayang to provide coverage.

Incumbent Bukit Lanjan assemblyman Elizabeth Wong expressed similar complaints, after her constituency rose from 39,000 voters to 65,000 in the Election Commission’s redelineation.

“If the area is getting bigger, the value of the votes will become lesser and the service for the people might as well be affected,” she added.
