Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak should be treated with dignity amidst the ongoing search over the past 48 hours by officials at his private residence.
According to Daim Zainuddin, everyone should be respected and treated as a human being, especially the ex-prime minister.
KUALA LUMPUR: Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak should be treated with dignity amidst the ongoing search over the past 48 hours by officials at his private residence, said Tun Daim Zainuddin.
“Everyone should be respected and treated as a human being, especially the ex-prime minister. They (officials) should let people sleep,” said the chairman of the newly-formed Council of Eminent Persons (CEP) at a press conference at his office here Friday.
He was asked to comment on the ongoing search operation which started from Wednesday (May 16) night.
He pointed out that despite the ongoing search operation, everyone is innocent until proven guilty.
Earlier, he met National Felda Settlers’ Children Association (Anak) chairman Mazlan Aliman.
The council was also briefed by Felda’s former director-general, Datuk Hanapi Suhada, Felda Investment Corporation Sdn Bhd chairman Datuk Syed Mohamed Syed Ibrahim and Felcra Bhd CEO Zulkarnain Md Eusope.
