Xavier Andre Justo, a former employee of PetroSaudi International, revealed that the full scope of the 1MDB scandal only became known to him following a meeting he had with The Edge and Clare Rewcastle Brown early in 2015.
In a lengthy Facebook post, Justo explained that prior to that, he was busy after getting married in 2013 and having a child in 2014.
It appears that Najib’s Facebook posts against Justo may have backfired as it gave Justo room to explain himself and highlight the conversation that took place between a person said to be associated with Najib and Justo’s wife (audio clip below).
Justo also brushed off Najib’s insinuation that he was a blackmailer following an interview he gave to Al Jazeera in which the former said he was unsure if he would have “exposed” the 1MDB scandal if PetroSaudi had paid the 2.5 million Swiss francs which were owed to him.
Justo said he was merely being honest, adding that he might not have checked all the documents in his possession if he had recovered his money.

In a lengthy Facebook post, Justo explained that prior to that, he was busy after getting married in 2013 and having a child in 2014.
“As I said many times…we arrived in Thailand end of 2011, we bought a house and some land to build a resort, we got married in 2013 and had a child in 2014.
“It was not until the meeting with The Edge and Clare early 2015 that I discovered the size of the1MDB corruption machine and the involvement of Jho Low and yours,“ Justo wrote.
The Swiss national was responding to a Facebook post by Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak that questioned why the former had waited four years after his resignation from PetroSaudi to approach the media if indeed he was a “whistleblower and not a blackmailer or thief”.
Najib asked in the same post if it was true that Justo had met and blackmailed his former employers in Thailand in 2013.

“If this is not true and that offence did not happen in Thailand, why is it that the Bangkok courts had jurisdiction for you to be charged and sentenced to 3 years jail,” Najib wrote.
To this, Justo replied:
“I never blackmailed anyone, I just wanted what was owed to me as it has been showed many times!
“I was arrested and jailed in Thailand because PetroSaudi and you were able to bribe the kind of system of justice that Thailand has.
“You can hear one of your accomplices (Mr Mahony) talking to my wife Laura about you in the following video (there many others with the different authorities):

Justo also rubbished Najib’s insinuation that he was a blackmailer following an interview he gave to Al Jazeera in which the former said he was unsure if he would have “exposed” the 1MDB scandal if PetroSaudi had paid the 2.5 million Swiss francs which were owed to him.
Justo said he was merely being honest, adding that he might not have checked all the documents in his possession if he had recovered his money.
“Honesty! That’s something that you may find difficult to comprehend, but honesty and principles are my guidelines!”
Justo also said he did not blackmail anyone after Najib pointed out that he had been jailed for three years in Thailand for such an offence.
“I just wanted what was owed to me as it has been shown many times.”
He alleged that some form of corruption had led to his imprisonment.
