The grandson of prominent consumer activist SM Mohamed Idris is currently being questioned by a specialised crime-busting team in Bukit Aman.
Yusoff Muhmammed Rawther, whose late grandfather shared a close rapport with PKR president Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, had on Wednesday accused Anwar of assaulting him physically and sexually at the latter’s home in Bukit Segambut.
I am made to understand that Yusoff has documentary evidence to back up his allegations. I am also told that police personnel manning an outpost at the scene of the alleged crime have records of persons who entered and exited Anwar’s residence that day.
According to a source, there was a domestic helper present in the house who witnessed Anwar openning the door for Yusoff and granting him passage to a library below.
PETALING JAYA: The grandson of prominent consumer activist SM Mohamed Idris is currently being questioned by a specialised crime-busting team in Bukit Aman.
Yusoff Muhmammed Rawther, whose late grandfather shared a close rapport with PKR president Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, had on Wednesday accused Anwar of assaulting him physically and sexually at the latter’s home in Bukit Segambut.
The accusation is contained in a three-page Statutory Declaration (SD) dated the 19thof November 2019 in which Yusoff also made mention of an attempt by Anwar to sodomise him by force.
The incident, based on Yusoff’s SD, is said to have taken place on the 2ndof October 2019 at around 3 pm. Yusoff had earlier been tasked to prepare a speech for Anwar and was told to hand deliver the speech to the latter at his residence in Bukit Segambut.
The SD paints a reasonably detailed account of what transpired from the time Yusoff arrived at Anwar’s doorstep to the time he left the place.
According to Yusoff, the person who instructed him to hand deliver the speech to Anwar was Shukri Saad, Anwar’s secretary.

On the contrary, helped prove that Anwar was in Kuala Lumpur at the time of the alleged crime and had ample time to meet Yusoff in Bukit Segambut.
