“Republicans are delusional if they think the special counsel is going to be fair”

Last Saturday, Newt Gingrich renewed an earlier call (READ HERE) for James Comey’s “brother in arms” – Robert Mueller – to be removed as the US Department of Justice’s Special Counsel.
According to the former House Speaker, Mueller’s more than warm ties with the fired FBI director was reason enough to suspect investigations into the Russian collusion track would be anything but independent.
“In this kind of environment, I don’t give the benefit of the doubt to somebody who can only hire Democrats, but claims that we ought to trust him.
“Republicans are delusional if they think the special counsel is going to be fair,” Gingrich added.
Mueller, out on his feet building his investigative team, hired two lawyers who contributed most to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign and another who donated to former President Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign and the Democratic National Committee.
His case against the Trump administration collapsed on itself the minute Comey testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee that he leaked top secret information to the New York Times while still the bureau’s head.
The fact is, the information Comey leaked pertained privileged conversations he had with the President, which TTF was told was the basis to many of Mueller’s arguments against the Trump faction.
A report sighted by TTF showed clearly the tens of thousands that Mueller’s hires had channeled to the Democratic Party and Democratic candidates, including Obama and Clinton.
One of the hires had also worked for the Clinton Foundation and helped persuade a federal judge to block a conservative activist’s attempts to force Bill and Hillary Clinton to answer questions under oath.
